But that's not going to stop me from taking advantage of this season, when so many in Christiandom are joining in. It's a nice way to build community, I think.Suhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11862479925124552922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8552468.post-73743249010283177212012-02-28T02:12:47.291-05:002012-02-28T02:12:47.291-05:00Hello I too am getting a head start on the A-Z cha...Hello I too am getting a head start on the A-Z challenge. For me Christianity is about what you do for 365 days a year not just for 40. If you need to give something up to focus on God then give it up completely ?

RJRdaydreamerJohn Tealhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09873356271475934162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8552468.post-29503333853700750992012-02-27T23:05:27.139-05:002012-02-27T23:05:27.139-05:00So far, moderately good, for BOTH my Lenten resolu...So far, moderately good, for BOTH my Lenten resolutions. Lent was a big deal when I was a kid. I always tried to give up candy for Lent and would make it 2 maybe 3 days before going back to the sugar :)

KarenGKaren Jones Gowenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01153821980625034810noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8552468.post-38354427635571551592012-02-26T23:47:01.542-05:002012-02-26T23:47:01.542-05:00@Alisha: Blessed Lent to you! :) And thanks for sh...@Alisha: Blessed Lent to you! :) And thanks for sharing your link... it was great to read!

@Erica: Hey, if you taught 4th grade Sunday school and only had to look up one question, you're doing very well indeed.Suhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11862479925124552922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8552468.post-2527898438391876912012-02-26T20:38:04.470-05:002012-02-26T20:38:04.470-05:00I'm Lutheran and teach Sunday School at our lo...I'm Lutheran and teach Sunday School at our local church. Today I had a group of 4th graders that watched an animated movie of the death and resurrection of Jesus with me today. They offered (almost) their entire attention and asked wonderful questions. I felt inspired just being with them on their journey toward understanding their faith (if that makes sense). (and yes, I had to look one question up)
ericaerica and christyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13074820593371226159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8552468.post-50948389099933060842012-02-26T19:58:06.144-05:002012-02-26T19:58:06.144-05:00Happy Lent! I should note though, I started participating in Lent a year before after spending years wanting to. It's actually very beautiful to give, sacrifice, pray and fast. And humbling, too. I wrote a little bit about it today: http://far-above-rubies-and-pearls.blogspot.com/2012/02/ashes-dust-green-bags.htmlAlisha De Freitashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10656746576530653143noreply@blogger.com
