What are we talking about today?

I'll get back to theme days once I find a groove of posting regularly. In the meantime, most of my posts are about some variation of books, bikes, buses, or Broadway. Plus bits about writing, nonprofits, and grief from time to time.

This blog is mostly lighthearted and pretty silly. It's not about the terrible things happening in the world, but please know that I'm not ignoring those things. I just generally don't write about them here.

26 Days of Alphabet Happiness

Today is supposed to be my book blogging day. Unfortunately, all I've been reading lately is school stuff, none of which merits a blog post. So, I'm blogging about blogging instead.

Once upon a time, some very clever people indeed decided to devote the month of April to blogging through the alphabet. One post per day (except Sundays, except again for that pesky April 1st), starting with A on the first all the way through Z on the 30th. I did it last year and met a whole bunch of crazy-awesome bloggers, so I'm back again for a second round. You can do it, too! There is no set topic-- just start with A and go all the way through the alphabet. Those clever people I mentioned are hoping to get to 1000 bloggers by March 1st! (Yay for leap year that gives us an extra day!)

See you in April!

Hi Su,
I think that's wonderful that you're going to be involved, once again, in that 'Challenge' that brings further awareness of the alphabet :)
Personally, I would never involve myself in it. I recall so many bloggers last year, stating to me, I just don't know if I keep up with it. I like to do my own thing, but big respect to you and those involved.
Then again, I'm looking forward to my alternative, tongue in cheek, satire blogs that poke at the A to Z Challenge!
And just think, those clever folks that started the challenge have more 'followers' now on their blogs then they ever probably dreamed possible.
Take care, good luck and happy writing. Let me see now, a zillion bloggers doing 'A in for Apple :)

Oh, how fun. I did this last year, but I just don't have the time this year. Hope you have a blast!

That's how we found each other! :) I'm doing it again this year, and I'm also doing it over at my other blog.

We're not participating this year, either (in fact, we're planning an April hiatus), but good luck to you!

@klahanie: Well, okay then.

@TC: Thanks!

@Jenny: Yay! Can't wait to read your posts!

@erica: A hiatus?? Don't you know how much I depend on you?

I believe the A to Z Challenge is how I discovered your blog last year. I'm excited to participate again!
