What are we talking about today?

I'll get back to theme days once I find a groove of posting regularly. In the meantime, most of my posts are about some variation of books, bikes, buses, or Broadway. Plus bits about writing, nonprofits, and grief from time to time.

This blog is mostly lighthearted and pretty silly. It's not about the terrible things happening in the world, but please know that I'm not ignoring those things. I just generally don't write about them here.

So Much for that Post-Every-Day Streak I Had Going...

... Sigh.

Friends are in town for the Austin Marathon! We're having all sorts of crazy-awesome fun, but not leaving much time for blogging. I plan to be back to my regularly-scheduled nonsense on Monday. In the meantime, here's the sign I'll be holding up for my friends tomorrow:

Aww, that's adorable! Sometimes (strange as it seems) there are things that come before blog world. Frieds and family certainly fit into that category. I hope your friends do well!

Good luck, runners!

I'm a runner, too, hope to hit that marathon high next year. :)

@erica: We volunteered at the info booth for 3 hours, cheered 45 min in one spot, then 1 hour+ in another... and each of those activities were separated by a mile walk. I'm almost as tired as if I had just run the thing!~

@Gina: Thanks! And yes, they do!

@Cleveland: Do it! It's tough, but very rewarding.

Here's hoping all went well yesterday.

It was great, Petty; thanks for asking! We were able to see all 5 of our runners at two different points along the course (since we could take a more direct route than they could). And everybody was pleased with their result. So it was a great day.
