What are we talking about today?

I'll get back to theme days once I find a groove of posting regularly. In the meantime, most of my posts are about some variation of books, bikes, buses, or Broadway. Plus bits about writing, nonprofits, and grief from time to time.

This blog is mostly lighthearted and pretty silly. It's not about the terrible things happening in the world, but please know that I'm not ignoring those things. I just generally don't write about them here.

I is for Importance

The Importance of Being Earnest

Originally opened in London February 14, 1895.

Currently: in the public domain. Possibly at a theatre near you.

Book: Oscar Wilde

Everybody knows about: “The good ended happily, and the bad unhappily. That is what Fiction means.”

I have thoughts: I only just saw this last summer. I don't know how I went so long without having ever seen it. It's a delight.

Have you seen Earnest? Did you laugh a lot?

I saw it at Lubbock Christian University some years back. I laughed a lot. The story was, of course, well written, but knowing the actors in their off-campus life made it hilarious.

Oscar Wilde is one intriguing character to me. I've heard of Earnest but never took a moment to check it out. I will do so now. :D
